How AI Is Used
OPTAX uses AI providers to assist with document extraction, transaction classification, anomaly detection, tax workflow explanations, review prompts, and chat assistance. The active provider can vary by feature, environment, fallback behavior, and operator configuration.
Provider and Training Limits
OPTAX does not use uploaded tax, banking, document, or chat content to train public AI models. Provider data handling depends on the provider route, account controls, region, and data-processing terms active at the time of processing.
We do not claim provider-specific zero-data-retention, training-exclusion, regional-processing, or commercial-retention terms unless those controls are documented for the active route.
Data Minimization
- Only task-relevant context should be sent to an AI provider.
- Tax IDs, bank account numbers, passwords, and unnecessary sensitive identifiers should be masked or excluded where detected.
- AI routing, provider, model, cost, and fallback behavior are processed through backend services for auditability.
- Users remain responsible for reviewing AI-generated output before relying on it.
Your Control
Some AI-powered features are optional. Withdrawing AI processing consent may limit or disable features required for document extraction, classification, review, or assistant explanations. You may request export, deletion, or privacy support subject to legal, tax, billing, security, and audit-retention obligations.
