Refund Policy

24-Hour Refund Window

OPTAX offers a 24-hour satisfaction guarantee for new subscriptions. Eligible requests received within 24 hours of the initial subscription purchase may receive a full refund processed through Stripe after eligibility is verified.

Non-Refundable Actions

A subscription becomes non-refundable when any of the following occurs:

  • A review-ready T2 preparation package has been generated or downloaded. Readiness checks and high-level previews do not by themselves close the refund window.
  • A future CRA submission attempt is made after certified electronic filing becomes available.
  • The charge is an automatic renewal charge.
  • The 24-hour initial purchase refund window has expired.

Filing Credits and Cancellation

T2 filing credits are company-year units. Lite annual includes one credit for the subscription period and Professional annual includes two; annual allowance credits do not roll over. Monthly-earned credits are usable only while the subscription is active, current, and not scheduled to cancel, so paying the required months and then stopping does not leave a freely usable credit.

A standalone CA$199 T2 package covers one company-year and is valid for 12 months if unused. Annual Additional Company Add-ons are CA$149 and include one T2 credit locked to the added company; monthly add-on credits mature after four paid add-on monthly invoices, expire after 12 months if unused, require an active/current subscription that is not scheduled to cancel, and cannot transfer to another company.

Cancellation and Subscription Changes

You may cancel auto-renewal through the billing portal. Access continues until the end of the paid period unless a refund is processed. Paid users become visitors when paid access ends.

Upgrades and downgrades are managed through Stripe Checkout or Stripe Customer Portal when enabled for your account; portal activity alone does not override the refund limits in this policy.

Contact [email protected] within 24 hours of purchase with your account email and purchase date. We verify refund eligibility against Stripe billing records and local product activity before processing.
